  • Michelae Forsythe, MA

I’m Michelae, born and raised in Honolulu. I graduated from Radford High School in 2015 and enrolled at Hawaii Medical College the same year. I was the first ever 17-year-old enrollee that required parental signature to start the summer module. After completing the CCMA program, it led me to the Foot & Ankle Institute with Dr. Avino where I was offered a job after completing my externship. Since then, I’ve slowly “come out of my shell” and worked my way up. In addition to assisting the providers with patient care, I’ve learned the day-to-day operations and other administrative tasks of the practice, making my role diverse and fun at the same time. Some of my hobbies/interests include collecting Funko Pops, the Marvel Cinematic Universe and playing Minecraft/Pokémon over FaceTime with my nephew in Kentucky.

  • Abi Agustin, MA

I graduated from Hawaii Medical College and joined the team at FAI upon completion of my internship in 2020. As a student, the family-like atmosphere made the practice not only a wonderful place to learn but also to connect with others. As a full-time medical assistant, I have witnessed many success stories. The providers are very knowledgeable and friendly, and they truly treat patients the way they would a family member. FAI is a place for healing through compassion, kindness, and mutual respect for each other. I'm happy to be part of this very special group. When I am not in the office helping patients, I enjoy baking, gardening and the outdoors.
